The Interrelation of Alcohol and Depression

Many people are interested of knowing whether or not there is any direct relationship between depression and alcohol.  According to experts, alcohol, biologically, plays significant roles in triggering depression.  This is one conclusion arrived after the empirical evidences suggested that alcohol is affecting the chemistry of human brain.  Alcohol, sometimes, can directly affect the level of serotenin in the brain.  Serotenin is the neurotransmitter that is directly linked to depression.

There are many antidepressant drugs these days which directly contributes to improving the serotenin level of the brain.  Some researches also shows how alcohol positively influence the brain in its particular regions where depression is promoted.
