Uric acid crystals cause horrible gout symptoms. These symptoms are formed whenever the body has a high level of uric acid in their blood. The uric acid is produced when the purines in the cells of our body metabolize during processes to provide us with our needed energy and protein and in protecting our cells from agents causing cancer and other many great benefits. Uric acid is produced as result of the breaking down of purines. This uric acid that is produced will be processed through the kidney with most of it being excreted through our urine. The low level that is left in our blood is very beneficial. But if the kidneys are not working efficiently or if too much uric acid is produced, not enough acid will be expelled. The excess will then be retained and will be circulated in the blood with a level that is higher than normal. Then the crystals will be deposited in your joints which causes the agonizing gout.
